8 months

WOW!
In just four short months, our sweet baby girl will be a year old!
When I think of it that way it, she seems older than just eight months.

I'm thinking I should ask Santa for a time-freezing device....

I don't know where she is on the growth chart,
but Allie currently weighs 17lbs and is 25in tall.
I know this, not because she just recently had a check-up,
but because we can't seem to stay out of the doctor's office.
I guess Jake's two days a week at "school" is just
enough for him to bring home every coodie going around right now.
In the past eight days Allie has had a sinus infection,
the beginning of an ear infection, an unknown virus
(that we later found out was Roseolla), and today we went back
to the Dr with croup - all while cutting her 2nd tooth!

Ugh! Forget the time-freezing device,
maybe I should see if Santa would pay the credit card bill
with all these doctor's visits and pharmacy charges!

Anyway,
aside from all the funk going around, Allie-bug is doing ok.
She still loves cruising around the house and pulling up
on EVERYTHING!

She's had to check out the tree a few times but Jake quickly
reminds her that "we don't play with the tree, girl".
Of course, he's the one we can't keep away from it!

She still eats anything I give her and last night was
her first meal of all 'big people' food.
She had chicken casserole and little green peas -
and loved every bite of it!

She's just becoming such a big girl!

Allie is used to the camera, but doesn't always smile without some coaxing.
This morning, my "Ahh Boos" were cracking her up and I was
able to get a good picture of her two teeth.
You still can only really see the one on her right,
but ain't it cute!
I love it!
And Jake thinks it's neat that she's finally "growing teef", too.

(Please excuse the snotty face, but this is about as clean as it gets these days.)
