Punkin Patch

I wish I could spell 'pumpkin' the way Jake says it sometimes,
and the way Austin said it at Jake's age was rather vulgar - so,

Punkin Patch it is.

Last Saturday we visited Clinton's new Punkin Patch.

We didn't really need another punkin on our front step,
but that's not the point.
The kids had fun - that's the point.

We started in the corn pits.
It's a neat concept, but I'm wondering how many gallons of corn kernels they go through to keep the pits full. And I've seen bigger ones!

Austin kept demanding (Actually, I'm sure he was asking very nicely because my children always talk to each other in a respectable manner. Ha!) Jake to go to the other pit because he wanted to...
make corn angels, of course!

I have to admit, the corn pits did look like lots of fun!

There were tunnels to play in.

Hay bales to jump.

A cute little girl to photograph.

A hay ride.

Entertainment by the big boys.

And, of course, punkins!

I'm pretty sure Jake picked up every punkin that was small enough to be toted in his little arms.

Austin and Jake both made sure Allie (who was put to sleep by the hay ride) got a punkin.
That's 'Mr. Cowboy'.
I didn't catch his real name and I don't guess Jake did either.
So, when he wanted his attention, he just said 'Mr. Cowboy' and that was all it took.
Mr. Cowboy was great with the kids and I was glad the Punkin Patch wasn't crowded (there were only 9 people there - 7 were in our group) so we were able to get a little special attention.

The kids had a great time and the punkins made great props for this picture...

Very neat! I might save myself the hour drive to Collins and spare the crowd and come out to Clinton next year!
