something old. something new.

We've been talking about getting Jake a bike of some sort, but we weren't sure if he could peddle - or even reach the peddles - so we wanted to get something cheap to start out.
Then, I found out that Austin's old trike was still at my parents house and in fairly good shape. Big Dog made a few adjustments and they brought it over for Jake this weekend.

He can reach the peddles, and if he would leave the bell alone long enough, he would be able to peddle!
Maybe he'll really get the hang of it and Santa will bring him a REAL bike.....

Another "something new" for Jake this week - SCHOOL!
Jake started Mother's Morning Out this week. He goes from 9-2 on Tuesday and Thursday.
He LOVES it!
It made me sad to drop him off Tuesday.
I blame it on my hormones that are still out of wack - I DON'T cry over silly milestones! Ha!

As y'all already know, I'm one of those mamas.
I had to take his picture before we left the house.
I told him to smile and this is what I got....
"Jake, smile right, and don't squish your eyes up."

(Rosie and Thomas didn't go the school, but they had to ride in the van. I was lucky to get him out of the house with only two toys.)

This little girl has some new stuff going on, too.

Friday night, she rolled from back to front for the first time - and Terry got to witness it. I, of course, was not in the room.
She's also (this) close to being able to sit up on her own!
She's just growing waaaaay too fast!

AND, Austin found out Tuesday that he'll be a member of Clinton Jr High's drum line!
We're going tonight to sell some of our organs to buy his drums!
(Sorry I don't have a picture - he still runs from the camera.)
