Allison Rae Thornton

Miss Allie arrived at 10:59 a.m. on Thursday, April 15th.
Weight: 6 lbs 6 oz
Length: 19 1/4 inches

My goal was to beat Jake's record and I did. By 19 minutes. I could have beat it by an hour or better if we didn't have to wait on doctors! HA!
My labor (with the exception of one little moment) was such a breeze! So easy I'd almost be willing to do it again......but we're not!! We mean that this time!
(*Message for The Man Upstairs, it's time to bless someone else. We're all good here! Thanks!)

As you can see from the first picture, she's a feisty little thing! To be so cute and little, she doesn't have such a cute and little cry. She is LOUD! I guess she knew she would have some competition.
Finally getting to hold my sweet girl! And dang-it, I'm crying again just typing this!
I always thought being a "boy" mom was just the best ever, but once I held Allie for the first time, my life became even better. Our little family is complete!

Getting ready to go home at only 26 hours old.
For someone who was supposed to be on the big side we sure are having trouble finding clothes that don't swallow her. But thanks to cousin Tatum and our friend Anna Morgan, we have a few things until I can fatten her up a bit.

When we left the hospital she had dropped to 6 lbs even. We went back for a weight check yesterday she was 6 lbs 3 oz. If she keeps eating like she is, she'll have that doubled in no time.
Jake has done great! He acknowledged her at the hospital but didn't really see what the big deal was. Since we've been home, he's let her play with his spider, given her her "dog-dog" to play with, offers her cheeze-its and juice and is constantly wanting to know where she is.
He asked to hold her several times but when he finally did I only had my phone (camera) handy.

Austin is great too, but we knew he would be. Jake and Allie couldn't ask for a better big brother.

Fist of many "mini" photo shoots

Beautiful!! Precious, sweet, awwweee, cuddly wuddly, I could go on and on. I also love the name. I like short country middle names. ( I nave a Mary Lu(cille), Audrey Grace and an Eleanor Joy) I toyes around with shortening Eleanor's name to Ella Joy or Ella Jo, but She's just Ella.
I'm glad her birth was quick and uneventful. Enjoy your recovery and the transition to a family of 5!!

And if you do start a "Pearl People" play group, let me know!

Now it's time to update your lilypie ticker and add her pic to your sidebar! :D
