Here's a picture from our driveway, looking out into the neighborhood.
Well, I was reminded by Mom that I have - it was about 28 years ago so I don't remember a whole lot from that day. I do remember a 4-wheeler and a sled. And I'm sure, at just barely 2 years old, I had fun!
Our house.
Jake checking things out. This was around 11:30 - we had not seen Austin for a few hours at this point. I did call him to see if he wanted to come play with Jake in the snow, but his clothes were in the dryer at his friend's house and he was just starting to feel his fingers again so he passed on the offer.
Jake was all decked out in his Carhart overalls and coat - kinda reminded me of the little brother in that Christmas movie. I can't ever remember the name of it, but you all know the one I'm talking about ...... "you'll shoot your eye out!" ........
Jake tried walking in the snow and it didn't quite work out.......
but he thought it was funny.
It didn't take Jake long to decide he was cold and wanted to go inside, but he had one small request.
"Snow inside"
He gets inside and outside mixed up at times so it took me a minute to figure out what he was wanting. And when I did, I let him have his wish.
BUT, even though I am such a cool mom, I do have my boundaries......
That was okay with Jake. But he did go looking for it after nap and couldn't understand why it was all gone.
Here are a couple pictures Joshua's mom sent me.
And here are Austin and Chantz working on a snowman that they decided was going to be too big so they started another snow ball fight instead of finishing it.
Now it's Monday and most of the snow has melted so we're back to the dreary coldness. If only the rain would stay away for more than 3 days at a time.....
Oh, in case any of you are wondering, Baby Allie is doing just fine. She's growing and kicking and making me slightly miserable at times, but I guess that's her job. I have an appointment tomorrow and another sonogram in two weeks. We had one two weeks ago, but she was being stubborn like her Daddy and didn't allow the sono tech to get all the measurements she needed. That's okay - I don't mind getting to see her on video again.
It's so hard to believe she'll be here in about 9 weeks!! Yikes! I better get busy!
