Catching up

I know it's been a while, but there's been A LOT going on at the Thornton house.
Austin has started 6th grade and will be 12 years old in 4 weeks! The scouting year is about to get going again and Austin started drum lessons two weeks ago. That's just what we need - two drummers in the house!
Jake will be 20 months in a few days and is already in the "younger twos" class at school! He is doing pretty good with the potty stuff. He hasn't really asked to go yet, but will go 95% of the time when we take him.
On one of his daily reports last week, it said that he knew all the animals and animal sounds (of the animal crackers) at snack time and was even teaching his friends how to make the pig noise!
I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure we'll be getting some calls from school in a few years about excessive noise making.
They're both just growing too fast!
And speaking of growing.....

Apparently, The Big Man upstairs decided it was time for our family to grow in another way! It would have been nice if He passed this by us first, but that's okay. He never gives us more than we can handle, right?

So, without further ado, we introduce to you.....

Baby Thornton!

I know, SHE doesn't look like much yet, but SHE'S a whopping 1/2cm long and HER little heart was thumping away at 113 beats per minute when this picture was taken on Tuesday.
And I know this is not the best picture, but that's about as good as it gets at only six weeks.

I'm already in love!
**Of course, we don't know for sure that she's a she yet, but I'm hoping all of you are on my side in this. If you haven't noticed...I'm a bit outnumbered as it is!
