surgery update

All went well. Jake was a trooper. We were in the holding room for about an hour before the surgery (with nothing to eat since midnight!) And Jake all but tore the place apart. For privacy reasons, we couldn't walk around but one of the nice nurses took Jake and let him run. (Thank you Katherine!)
Curious George went to the OR with Jake and after they were brought back to the room for recovery, George was taken by accident to the hospital laundry. He was scooped up with the dirty sheets when Jake got sick. I am happy to report that George is home and has had a bath. Jake will be so happy to have him back tomorrow.
Since about six last night Jake has had fever as high as 102.4. We were told that a low grade fever was expacted, but I called the after hours nuber and the on-call ENT decided we needed antibiotics. So now, we are hopefully on the road to recovery.

Thank you all for your prayers.
