Nature Nuts - Birds

This month, well, June (I think)
was all about birds!

It also happened to be during one the Nature Centers
Summer Camps, so there were lots of extra (older) kids.

There was also a gentleman there that does wood carvings,
so we were able to check out some of his work.

Neat, huh?

We took our regular walk down to the pond
were we saw many dragonflies.

Then we went inside where it was MUCH cooler.

Jake had to check out the shells like he does every month.

"I can hear da ocean!"

Then, we all gathered around to see the birds!

Jake could hardly contain himself!
He snuck around the cages before "The Bird Lady"
walked in and knew that she had an owl.
Owls are one of his favorites!

Jake said the owl "looks evil"
I agree.

Hopefully I'll have another post up soon.
I know I've become very lazy with updating,
but life is busy....
