4 months

Where has the time gone?!?!
It feels like we were driving to the hospital just last week!

This past month has been a big one for Miss Allie.
I've already posted on it, but the first biggie was her Christening.

Then, on July 24th (on her Big Dog's birthday), at just 3 mos and 9 days old, Allie rolled over for the first time!......but no one saw it.
We heard her wake up from nap and she was on her back when Terry walked in the room.
This happened three more times before I finally saw her do it.
Now she's doing it all the time, and she's so close to rolling from back to front.

She has become a BIG TIME thumb sucker! She loves it!
The good part is it's always there when she needs it.

Trying to roll over. I stood there for almost an hour watching her roll back and forth before she finally fell asleep. About 10 minutes later she started fussing. When I walked back in the room she was on her back! Little stinker!

Allie loves to sit up and look around. She can sit very briefly with me just bracing her hips/legs. I think she'll have sitting alone mastered within the next month.
But for now, she sits in the Bumbo seat we borrowed from Cousin Tatum.

Or props up somewhere.

Propping up on her arms isn't as much fun because she can't see enough of what's going on.
And if she does this too much, those fat rolls might turn to muscle and we just can't have that happen.

Sorry Terry. I know you don't like these big flower hats, but I had to throw this pic in here anyway.

Look at those little feet! I promise I did NOT cross her legs! I didn't even notice it until I was editing the pictures.
With all the testosterone in this house, she's sure to be a tom boy so I'm going to soak up every bit of prissiness I can!

Allie starting eating three weeks ago and is already up to two "cubes" of food.
I'm making all her food and freezing it in ice trays. She only eats at supper time now, but she likes her food so much (another clue that she's my child) that we'll start another meal soon.
But probably not until she starts fruits. Who wants green beans for breakfast??

Here she is after green beans.

She's also had sweet potatoes and avocado.
She's the only one that doesn't complain about my cooking.... but that could be because she can't talk yet....

Allie had her first trip to the Natural Science Museum with our friends Ms Stacy, Joshua and Peyton.
She better like hanging out with them, cus I don't see it ending anytime soon.
Allie is such a happy baby! It doesn't take much to make her laugh and smile.

I mean, do you not just want to eat her up?!?!

When Jake allows it, she also likes sitting in the exersaucer. She's even learning to spin herself around to get to the toys she wants. She has some pretty intense conversations with that frog.

Yesterday was Allie's 4 month check-up and Dr. P said she was perfect!
She weighs 14 lbs and is 25 inches long. She's at the 50% mark for height and weight, but we are 150% in LOVE!

Wow! I can't believe she's four months. I like hearing about what she's doing, because I know what to look forward to with Katelyn :) You're little girl is so cute!
