8 weeks + 4 pounds = 2 cute

Allie was 8 weeks old yesterday.
She had her check up and first shot on Wednesday.

Allie loves sleeping on her tummy.

She was 10 lbs 6 oz. That's up 4 pounds from birth.
And she was 22 inches long - up 2 3/4 inches from birth.
She's in the 50th percentile for both height and weight.

As you can see, most of that 4 pounds is in her chin and cheeks!

Allie sleeps great at night! I could never say that about the boys until well after they turned two years old!
From 11p to 6 or 7a, she only wakes up once.
She still sleeps alot during the day too, but is much more alert when she is awake.

I was trying to get a profile shot here, but because she is starting to follow people/things, the big black camera was quite a distraction. It turned out to be a great shot anyway.

Along with staying awake more, she has really started smiling ALOT! I've been trying to get it on film and today she did not disappoint.

Something must have been really funny!

Terry says her mouth is crooked, but it's not. She just likes to suck on her bottom lip - she's really liking her thumb too...when she can find it.

Does anyone else agree that this eight weeker who has gained four pounds is just too cute?
