Tibial Torsion

Tibial Torsion is the twisting of the lower leg (tibia). Before birth, the legs are in a confined position and are shaped to fit the womb. Internal Tibial Torsion means that after birth they don't rotate outward. The feet then turn inward (also know as Pigeon Toed) because the leg bone above them points them that way. As the tibia grows taller/longer, it is expected to straighten and grow out of the twisting. The doctor said that Tibial Torsion almost always improves without treatment and usually before school age. But that even if Jake's didn't completely straighten, it would not be bad enough to worry with. (He'll just look like his Aunt Nay - ha!)
Other than that, the doctor said Jake seemed to be perfect.
Well, that was a waste of thirty bucks...I could have told him Jake was perfect!
No, really, the doctor didn't seemed concerned at all - so I guess we won't be either.

Jake drawing me a picture...what would a post about Jake be without a picture of Jake?
